I didn't think Hill start was fitted to 2017 and on cars? Its wrapped up in Auto Hold. Your Handbook might explain..mine doesn't.

Are you saying that the brakes won't release on forward gear selection?

autohold engages but wont release in any forward gears but in reverse it engages and disengages, so turned it off, so thought hill start would help me on hills...but i have no hill start in any forward gears,
When i put it in reverse and go up hill and press brake hill start comes on straight away and shows on dash, but go up hill in forward gear hill start wont come on or hold.
and front bleeps work when i reverse form a object but not going to foeward to a object

no error codes
bought a new agm battery no change in the above

Can you answer two questions please..

What Reg and/or year is your car?

Do the brakes release correctly when you accelerate forward from stopped.

....

Its a serious problem because the brakes are supposed to fail safe. In that they become a simple non ABS braking system. And its the ABS system that is used for Hill Start Assist and Auto Hold.

It needs checking by Nissan I suggest.

Its certainly got a good sprinkling of CAN Comms and Power distribution troubles. Certainly the prime and distribution of power needs a thorough check against spec. IPDM controls a mass of individual sub system power feeds which is probably causing the DTC madness.

The AGM Battery is a good choice and they do need to clear all the old Battery history.

Looking at the last DTC....C1109 for ABS. Diagnostics suggest these faults:

• Harness or connector
• ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)
• Fuse
• Ignition power supply system
• Battery

Most of it returns to bad power feeds. That could mean a bad Ground somewhere...?

The condition "works in reverse but not forward gear" is a weird one.

update, they wont look for abs proplem till they done regen, £540, looked at atuobrake and hill start and says auto brake module needs to be replaced and that should fix everything, so nealy a £1000 job, so talking to misses, going to start putting in premium fuel so hopefully the dpf wont get clogged, car has only done 19000, and to start driving a bit more aggressively, not good but its a learning curve...i drive down the bypast 4 days a week 15mins there and 15 mins back, if i do 3000 revs every trip will that look after the dpf or do i have to do more...thanks
