Map Update tool - Full Reset led to corrupted Maps on Car

I was trying the Full Map Reset option to update the my J11B Nissan Qashqai with 2022.06 version which was 18.10 , as soon i plugged in the USB drive with update file , it showed 1 minute to update and then it showed the maps on device has been corrupted . Restore full maps using recovery.

Does any one have earlier version files which i can use to perform recovery ?

Try re-downloading maps on usb and update again

I have done that multiple times. the 2022.06 version and still it fails while updating and map is not working anymore.

Still can't get updates either via WiFi or USB on my 2019 model...

Wifi = No Updates Available
USB = I just get a USB error, even with a freshly untouched "stick" straight from the box!!!*

I've even changed the USB socket and the lead between the socket and the actual Head Unit...


Thankfully, I use Waze now for my maps!!

I had same problem as you. Nissan could not solve the problem so they replaced the head unit.

Updating mine sends the head unit into a reboot frenzy that it eventually falls out of, allowing me to keep using it (with Waze).

I reported it to Nissan CS who, of course, had never heard of this issue before.

Did they charge for the replacement as my car is from 2019 i think it is out of warranty.

Covered by the warranty. No charge.

So there is no other way to get older full map reset folder which might help resolve it ?

Probably not - unless you want to buy a complete new head unit??

My local Nissan denied all knowledge of a fault with MY Head Unit when I SHOWED them the problem about 3 months before my warranty ran out....

Firstly they said they couldn't find the supplied Blank USB stick - when it was sitting on the passenger seat
Then they said there was no problem, so I said "Ok, I'll show you" and did - they said "Nothing we can do about it"

Then when it went in a few weeks later for another fault (Rear Driver's door lock) - they said they couldn't get the Map Updater to work....!!!!
I said, I know - I told you this a few months back!!
