I’m in the same position as you. I was told I could have it ASAP or they would let me wait till March and get the ‘19 plate. For me it was a no brainier and I’m choosing to wait, as even though it will be the same car, getting a 68 plate already makes it a year old...technically and psychologically too.

However it depends on your situation. We have a second car and can afford to wait, if you need your car now then do it but if you can wait just a whole clear month then wait. It will be worth it when you come to sell.

David, they'll be £incentivised£ to shift stock prior to new registration month; get some financial benefit
from dealer to do so :)

Hi David

I'd personally wait, just to get the neighbours curtains twitching once it was on the drive

Seriously though, unless you desperately need the car, and it sounds as though you don't, as you were prepared to wait when placing your order, I would hold out for the 19 plate. After all, what are we talking, 5 - 6 weeks at most.

I'm still toying whether to go for the N-Connecta with the exec pack or the Tekna.

I travelled 21 miles this morning to a dealership to hopefully make my mind up by test driving a N-Connecta auto again and a first test of a Tekna auto to compare rides. Just my luck they didn't have either available. That'll teach me to phone ahead next time.

It's nice to be offered the car earlier for a change but I have stuck to the 19 plate as it will only be about 4 weeks later and I'm sure I will regret it further down the line.
Thank you all for your input.
