Hi,

Have just ordered a new Qashqai N connecta with glass roof 1.3 140 bhp.

It is a lease and comes in pearl white and it listed as 2018.5 model and was manfactured in 2019.

Some of the paper work states pearl white and some storm white? I assume these are the same?

The tech specs list this
Is this def the new touch screen system as I know the one before the last update was really laggy and rubbish.

Any help would be appreciated.

Firstly welcome !. Be very careful here that you have not being caught out and are purchasing a QQ with the older Spec. I cancelled ours 3 times to get the latest Spec and ours was ordered in Mid Sept and we got it early Dec/19. just take a look at this post for an example or play around in the “Search” Area for more posts. I would suggest you go and play around with the QQ with a Sales person then your mind is clear - Dave

Since it says "Android Auto" then, yes, it's definitely the new system. Haven't seen the "evo" tag before.

Not sure what "preparation" means in "Apple CarPlay preparation" though. (EDIT - I think it just means it's got it!)

In colour terms the picture above is incorrect for UK cars - here the car is not available in White. The only "white" is Pearlescent "Storm White"

When did the touch screen get upgraded?

So if it says android auto then it must be the new one?

Did the old version not have this?

The touch screen upgrade was announced in September 2018, wasn't fitted seemingly until about November 2018, but some cars first registered up until a few months into 2019 also don't have it, presumably since they were "old stock".

The old one didn't have Android Auto or CarPlay and it couldn't be retrofitted to them.

I would suggest that you should still make it a condition of sale though.

One final thing. What sort of service is at year 2?

The lease is 2 or 3 years.

If I go 2 years I may be able to return the car before the service is due.
