Isn't the warranty 3 years or 60000 miles, so if you can only get a card under warranty they'd need to check, although no one else seems to have been asked.

Hound wrote: Mon Jul 24, 2017 3:19 pm I received my "updated" SD card today. Rhys from Nissan, who seems to think I have a Nissan Juke, has sent me the LCN2K-EV1GW card, which is the same 19-05-2015 card (sd2-GENJ_EU_B.A v11, 25920 4KJ0A) as I already have in the July 2015 Qashqai, and is two years out of date. So back to square one. :(
One of the later posts says this offer is only for Jan 2016 onwards. I wonder if they are sending out the card for the year your car was registered, so you get the 2015 card, 2016 model QQs get the 2016 card. Seems a bit daft if that's the case.

It seems only 2016 on model owners will get the card replaced at annual service by local Nissan dealer.
Apparently car selling price adjusted according to Nissan.

Well Nissan offered me an update to the maps then withdrew it because my car is an import that never left the country. Well I have a major service next year & I'm going to an independent, so their loosing a customer for good .. no more servicing from Nissan again & they still have to cover my warrantee, so that will be the only time they will see the car.

Here is a bonus, but not a huge one, just hope I never need to use it.

"Here at New Nissan Cyprus Ltd we offer for all passenger diesel and petrol vehicles seven years warranty coverage. Three years standard manufacturer’s warranty or 100,000km whichever comes first plus four years extension for engine and gearbox* or 150,000km whichever comes first."

They loose out in the long term as they get no big bucks off me for an oil and filter change. Will buy a new nav card off e-bay for £35.

when the card arrives do you need to send old one back, is there any info about this or can you get rid of the old card?

Anyone outside of the UK or have an import car received a free map update? I'm guessing from the response I got that its UK only.

Contacted my dealer about a new sat nav card they knew nothing about the free update, so rang Nissan CC who said they would send me a free updated card. Card arrived and I followed the instructions to get it up and running.first time I come to use it and the enter new destination screen will not accept any details, it's all greyed out apart from select country but then the screen goes blank. Rang Nissan CC back and they told me to go to the dealers to get them to check the system out! But if I put the old one back in all works fine. Can only be a faulty card but Nissan say " every card is checked before being sent out" anyone else had this problem with The free Nissan updated card?
