1.2 Turbo Hesitation

Hi I have a 2014 1.2 turbo QQ and although it goes well with revs I find that it has a massive flat spot/hesitation at low revs. If I approach a mini roundabout ( as I do everytime I go home) in second unless I am travelling at reasonable speed it won't pull, it over revs if I drop to first but it creates problems. The dealers said there was nothing with it, they did replace timing chain under warranty recently but there is no change in performance. We bought it two years old with 7K on the clock, I've only got 14k on the clock and haven't been impressed with it in general, it's okay but nothing stunning. The local Nissan dealer (1 mile from my home) were so rubbish over the recall for the a/c that I now travel 20+miles to the next dealer.
Any suggestions on hesitation and please not "what do you expect from a 1.2" ;)
Many thanks

Depends what you call 'low revs'. The turbo isnt there at revs lower than about 1500 if I remember correctly. Ill check it tomorrow and reply.

Heard this before on the Juke forums (I'm a previous Juke owner)
That's a lighter car but folk reported the same problem.
Keeping the revs high, in low gear seems to help (quelle surprise !) over 1500 IIRC
Some reported improvements with the air con turned off.

Just checked. Turbo starts to kick in around 1700 to 1750 revs and it's only subtle.

Mike, we have had ours exactly 3 years and as mentioned by gvmdaddy you have to give it a bit of a boot full regarding the revs and it picks up for me really well and smoothly - Dave :D

Mines that flat that at times it becomes dangerous if you are pushing your luck a little. It feels worse than turbo lag/below revs.
