Hello,

It's ok, to change oil from my CVT transmission with an ATF (automatic transmission fluid) machine?

This machine flush CVT, remove old oil and fill with new NS3/j4 oil for CVT.

The car has 85.000km and in the manual Nissan said to change oil at 90.000km (54.000mile) only if i drive in mud road and bumpy road or i have trailer.

Do I need to change it if I drive only in city and highway, or is "lifetime" oil?

Thanks!

You can change it with ATF change machine, but more fluid will be used compare to manual fluid change. Also, ensure that garage will use genuine NS-3 and not equivalent (as they always do as they don’t care much).

Thank you. I change it with ATF about ~ 8000km and now the CVT run more smooth. I hope to last again 90.000 km like the old fluid.

I change only the exterior filter because I don't want to open the pan and the filter inside because they can put wrong and give me problem.

I know that is good to change that filter too and clean the pan and magnet but I'm afraid to let the mechanic to mess with this sensible gearbox.

Then do it together with a good mechanic.
