Hi, all
I have just bought a used 2016 1.2 Dig t N Connecta
I find the steering to have a strange feel compared to the other Vehicles I have access to. When coming out of a corner or turning the steering doesn’t correct itself fully to centre. Its almost as if anything on the steering between 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock is a dead spot. I find it fine on a winding road but as soon as I’m on a straight road it feels like a constant battle to hold a straight line. Been back to the Nissan dealer where I have compared it to another 2016 qq which had a similar feel. I had also driven a 2019 qq recently and the steering felt perfect.
Does anyone have an idea whether this is a common fault or just the characteristics on this year/model
Thanks
Strange steering feel

It sounds like you need to get the steering checked, to me - that's what I'd be doing
That said, I've never driven a QQ with that engine and I am not technically minded - at all.

Hi and Welcome, Steering Effort - Normal or Sport ? take a look at this old post or go into the “Search” Area where there is more. If this setting on the video does not help as mentioned get your Steering checked for Safety Sake - Dave

Might be worth taking a look at your tyres too. Uneven wear etc or just need replacing due to age/tread left.

If your'e not satisfied with the car and they say there is nothing wrong I'm pretty sure you can go refund on it anyway. The 2017 J11b steering I have is effortless almost. Yours should be also!
If its a battle to hold it in a near straight line the steering geometry/tyres have a problem...dynamics wrong.

I tried both settings and left it in Sport.
It never seemed to be a problem to me.
Check your tyre pressures though...

I’ve now driven another qq at the dealership and a neighbours qq, all identical models. Exactly the same feel as mine. Turned off the trace control which has slightly improved it for me.
