Hi all, just looking for some advice in regards to reattaching the passenger side roof rail as it has become loose, I have recently removed the roof box which has been on the vehicle for roughly 6 months.
I have looked for advice online but no joy so far, has anyone had this problem and if so, could you give me some pointers for re-tightening the rail back into place.
(I have the option of taking it back into Nissan as it is still covered under warranty but I would rather avoid the inconvenience of losing my mode of transport if I feel it is a quick fix)
Many thanks
Dan

Welcome to this forum.
This comes from what purports to be a J11 manual albeit it's illustrating a J10 - but likely to be similar:

Dan, take a look at this video it should give you a guide on how to get to re-tightening the screws after Popping the End Caps Off. Or as you mentioned it is still under Guarantee then let the Dealer handle it, here they have a Quick Service Facility no Booking - Dave

Hi,
sorry to add into your thread but just came across it while researching the same problem. My nearside rear roof rail is become disconnected. I have found one nut that I assume is from it at the edge of the headliner where it meets the plastic trim around the small triangular window at the back. Did you get yours fixed and was it a dealer job? Thanks for any info

Just noticed this thread, also had an issue with a loose roof rail and curiously it seems to be nearside ones in every case so far. Can't comment on how to do it unfortunately as I took it back to the dealer to let them sort it out under warranty. However it doesn't seem to be a hard job as my dealer had it done in something like quarter of an hour, I used the while you wait appointment.
