I have topped up once in 6000 miles by 1 psi. Worth remembering that pressures drop overnight and are lowest when cold. They increase as tyres warm up. I always check mine when cold and set to recommended pressures. Once running with tyres warmed up this will increase by a min of 2 psi and on motorway trips it can go up by 4 psi.I have a very accurate (and expensive) digital pressure gauge and this confirms that the on-board sensors are 100% accurate.

I recently did mine and it had lost 2 PSI all around over about 5 to 6 months.Looking at it this morning it looked like it had again lost 2 PSI all around but when you take into account the sudden temperature drop that isn't massively surprising. As Bob says, on a run it soon gains at least 2 PSI all around.
