The Nexens arrived last week while I was away so it took until this week to get them put on the QQ.

I have ordered a pair of ZX7's the Nexens were a bit cheaper, the fronts on measuring 2.5mm after 22k miles. Most of my miles are Dual carriagegway plus twice weekly trips to Brechfa. We'll see how they wear. Wont know how they feel until I get them onto the front when the original contis wear away and need swapping.

Has anyone on here tried the Nexen SU4’s, which look to have better ratings than the SU1’s and about a tenner a tyre cheaper?

I need a couple of front tyres for my 1.5 dci Tekna and can’t really justify the cost of new Conti’s at £200 a time.

19" ones as I use aren't; add £60 to that figure.

Mine wore out at 22000 miles. Replaced with Pirelli Scorpion Verde.

When I bought my J11 last March, the fronts must have been worn as when I picked the car up Nissan had put brand new ones on, but just some cheap budget ones. Turns out they are abysmal in the snow. Not worn yet, but I think I need to replace with a couple of decent ones.

Car needs to go in for a service next month, so asked the dealer about tyre prices. After he quoted nearly £200 for replacement Continentals I asked if they could get any Nexens?

After a bit of phoning around he got back to me offering Roadstone Eurovis Sport 04, which are made by Nexen, same tread pattern as the SU4’s fitted by a main dealer for £80 a tyre.

Sounds good to me, and I’ll feel more comfortable about a Nissan dealer looking after my alloys and pressure sensors than your average back street tyre depot.

Do not fit Yokohama tyres like I have. No grip and very noisy. Can't wAit for them to wear out . Try Cooper tyres as they are supposed to be very good in the rain. 2 year warranty as well.
