Just been reading a news article out here with reference to Tyre Price Increases in 2017 of 9%. Just took a look on the web and found this article from Tyrepress UK (Jan) where it mentions that 19" Tyre costs rose in the U.K. by 10-15% in the last quarter of 2016 (2nd paragraph). This is bad news for 19" Tekna Owners, has anybody noticed this increase - Thanks Dave ;)

But that's not for 19" wheels, you'd be doing well for one at that price ;)

Yes it was for 2 19 inch tyres they weren't a top brand hi fly but they have been perfect in the rain plenty of grip and I feel a softer drive that th e continentals I had on which only lasted 13000 miles

The Tyres that Tom40my bought were in fact from a Chinese Manufacturer Shandong Hengfeng Rubber & Plastic Co., Ltd in China. Looking at Gel's article there are also cheap Tyres available but this time from Nankang Taiwanese Co. in Taiwan and China. There must be some Major differences in Quality, Road Holding, Braking etc when buying these Tyres. I suppose in the end reading the Facts and experience will tell - Dave ;)

Does anyone know if this size tyre will fit the 19" Teckna wheels? "235/55R19" They are much cheaper. I know there maybe safety / speedo questions but im running larger tyres on my mini coupe compaired to the originals & they are perfectly fine, great handleing, no rubbing on the wheel arch, and no strange wear effects.

Each to their own but for me personally I'd rather stick with a known brand of some sort :)
