Tyre choice

Hi guys, time to replace the front tyres on our 2015 1.6 dig t model, with 215 55 18 continental premium contact 2 fitted at the moment.
Just wondered has anyone gone away from the Contis to something more reasonably priced.
Just started looking around and Contis are around £145 a corner which seems ridiculous to me.
Any feedback would be great.

I did look but there isn't anything conclusive to be honest. I will pop along to a local tyre place this week and get some prices.

Hifly tyres at asda. My 225/45/19 96w Fully fitted, fully speed rated £71 a corner. Perfect.

Thanks for the input, local tyre place has some decent Avons in at £98 fitted a corner so i will probably go with them.
Better than £140 a corner!

Avons are a decent brand. Always worth asking your dealer if they will price beat any tyres.

Car was at the dealers today for a safety recall/service, the health check flagged up a tyre and they quoted £105 for a budget brand!
