I've just waked back across a car park to my 2012 qashqai (NTec) and noticed a cable hanging under the drivers side of the car. I've made teen DS squeeze under and have a look to see if there is a cable clip or something but he says there's not. Does anyone have any idea what it is and what to do?!
I'll attach the photo he took from lying underneath the car. He has sort of tucked it up out of the way but reckons it will probably come loose again. Does it need to go to the garage?

Looks like O2 sensor. I would recommend a tie wrap to the fuel lines or you could pierce a hole in the heat shield, and fix to that with some fine wire. Tie wrap will melt. There should be a fixing clip but perhaps it has fallen out. I guess garage could do if you are under warranty. Anyway don't want to loose sensor connection as that would be mot failure, and probably lots of lights and maybe annoying ping sound.
