Has anyone solved the issue of having to take your J11 QashQai to the stealer to have the rear pads and discs changed?

You'll need to ring round a few tyres/ brake specialists and see who has the s/ware to allow them
to change pads/ discs.

Seems not; same with changing a battery.
It apparently needs coding to the car, which most battery/ tyre depots will not have software for.

As cars are getting more and more complex manuf are making cars more. Harder to fix so you have to use the dealerships somebody messing on with the QQ can cause lots of problems that can give a model a bad name
for breakdowns ...I can see QQ failing MOT on things that are extras that cost more than the car is worth......david

Thanks will give it a try when it’s time. Just wondering though why there is so much mystic about changing the rear pads and disc? Reading various stuff on google etc . Does the electric motor and Ecu reset themselves when pad changes are done this way?
