Hi All
Bought my used Qashqai a month a go and noticed the wheel nut caps (they are caps aren't they?), have discoloured after it's been handwashed by a local car wash business.

As you can see they look horrible and lightly scrubbing with washing up liquid doesn't get them clean.
Any suggestions?
Also, assuming they are covers, is there a way I can remove them without owing the proper tool? I was thinking I may paint them black again.
Thanks
John

Sounds like they're using acidic cleaner & not rinsing off in time- avoid.

Thanks for the advice. Bought myself some new caps so wheels looking much better now.
I may go back to the car wash with a spare cap and ask them to spray it with the wheel cleaner they're using. If it discolours again I can show them.

With regard to removal, I have a spare tool if yours is missing from the spare wheel/gunk/compressor section in the boot. It's essentially just a wide plastic pair of tweezers.
