Harv wheels fitted 3=as 1 as very slightly Kerbed which was fair enough. Booked in for 8am n LEEDS 30 miles away got there 8.15 ready by 10.20 amused me when I asked for an update (( how long does it take to remove and fit 3 tyres?)) after seeing the car chasing off down the dealers service yard out onto the adjacent 30mph dual carriageway and back “ just been taken for a road check “ “how do you check new wheels? I askd Oh check they go round and round you mean”. I think the receptionist realised I was Micky taking lol. Anyway they’re fine just need to know what if anything to coat the them with wax?)

Scimitar, this is always a Hot subject as everybody has their own personal preferences after experiences with Cleaning.
I have had Tekna Models from Nissan such as the Note, Juke & QQ, all were fitted with Alloy Wheels from Nissan or Giacuzzo inc Winter Wheels and have always used the same procedure with no problems of Surface Finish.
This is my procedure :
1. Spray the Wheels with Lidl W5 Wheel Cleaner (Yes Lidl ) and then High Pressure Wash off the solution. Dry off with a Clean MicroFibre Cloth.
2. Spray on Meguiar’s (US) Ultimate Quick Wax and finally remove, polish with again a MicroFibre Cloth, effect should be Shiny. Use Soft Wheel Brushes or old Soft Toothbushes to get behind the Wheel Ribs and into the corners.
3. Finally what I use with a MicroFibre Cloth is a Nano Wheel Protector from Nigrin called NanoTec which is a creamy fluid and then finally remove, polish with a MircoFibre Cloth.
Do not forget this time consuming but in the end well worth especially before the winter sets in
As I mentioned before everybody has their own preferences from past experience and this is just my experience - Dave
