My facelift 1.5 cdi Tekna is sure to have a new set of front tyres in the next few weeks but i wanted to check a few things out before i take it in.
I've not had a vehicle with Tyre pressure monitoring before,
Do i need to have the have the pressure monitors inside the tyres recalibrated,
Do i need new ones?
Do i need make sure the same wheel goes back on the same place on the car?

Im not sure if the tpms need to be recalibrated with new tyres.
I have 2 sets of tyres (winter and summer) when changed they automatically appear on screen. Only maybe reset.
If not damaged no need new sensors.
I switch tyres from front to back every year and it does not give problems. System seems to know where they are.

Make sure tyre fitters leave the tyre valves in place obviously; they will recalibrate themselves automatically after a few miles of driving

Remind the tyre shop that the sensors are there. I have seen them get broken while the fitter is breaking the bead.
99% of the time, we see them, but they do get missed. Some look just like a normal valve.
