Hello all, just had my MOT completed at a local garage good news is it passed however has 3 advisories as per the first picture with further pictures showing them.
Garage said that it's a surprise that it's an issue based on age of car 09 plate 1.5 dci and that it could be manufacture fault similar to something that happened with navaras where they were recalled or nissan bought them back? Genuinely have no idea on if this sounds right? Or if it is likely and if so is there anything that can be done?
Also about £1500 to fix? Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated.
Advisories from MOT sub frame and suspension

M80, if that was my QQ I think I would be a little concerned. Welding is expensive but that cost sounds pretty extensive and you say that actually got through the new MOT. There appears to be a lot of surface rust but there is also a lot of steel that appears layered and ready to break up.
The Navara problem was Big, so Big that the Chassis broke in half, I can remember acting as a go between with a company in the UK that was manufacturing a Rear Cab for our German Dealer and he raised this point on Navara’s.

Rub down , rust treatment , paint black then move on with your life
If you look at your rear arms, can be seen between the front of the back wheels and the rear of the read doors that will be the same if not looking worse.
First job I done on mine (4wd version) was to get under it clean of rust spots , rust cure , And gave it a coat of fresh black paint on the rear sub frame and suspension parts.
Still have the front to do with need to sort a set of ramps out as the front doesnt quite have enough room to slide under and do like the rear.
Long gone are the days of underside being properly coated in decent underseal

That's not rotten just needs a clean up ..... Don't panic just get some elbow grease on the go
it's not like the navara chassis rot which broke the chassis with large cracks
