Hi all - my first post - hopefully you can assist with a few questions.
I have a 2014 plate Tekna with 19"'s. I am looking at a set of 17"s for the winter. The wheels are used with no tyres so will buy the tyres separate.
q1- is there any issue with 17" wheels fitting ? e.g. interference with brake housing etc ?
q2 - how do I know if I have wheels or nuts (without removing one), does this affect the choice of wheels ?
q3 - what is the std size of tyre for the 17", 215, 55, R17 ?
I am doing this as a set of 19" winter tyres is much more expensive than doing this, plus I can swap the wheels myself, I can't change tyres
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Stevie.

1. No - the Tekna at that time was optionally available with 17" wheels. The Visia trim level in fact came on 16" steel wheels.
2. Presumably you mean "bolts or nuts"? Bolts

Stevie, please take a look in the “Search” Area as there are various Posts with the information you requested there. Just enter variations of “Winter ....” or “Tyres..... “ and you will find the facts as it just prevents “Re-Inventing the Wheel”. We incidently have had 17” Steel Wheels for the Winter for 4 years here in Germany. Hope you find what you need - Dave

Sorry guys another question (Dave - I did search for this - apologies if I am not doing it correctly and the answer is already there). Do I need to get TPMS valves, or will I just have a warning light on the dash if they are not fitted ? If I do - do I need to go to a Nissan dealer to have them coded ?

Stevie, as gvmdaddy has mentioned “Yes” you need the TPMS Valves - more expense but you are talking in the end Safety ! I would assume also that your QQ would fail the MOT or as here TÜV. Nissan Dealer is my bet but many would just visit a Tyre Dealer.
No need to apologise it happens to most “Newbies”, just put it down to Learning - Dave
