Has anyone used one of these successfully to help with brake fluid changing?
If not what method have you used apart from the 2 person method.

About 8 yrs since I last bled brakes. I got hold of a one way valve kit and didn't expect much. It worked a treat although the bottle/pipe was rather small. Its on amazon uk for about £17... too much. Draper 37316 Bleeding Kit

I think I am with Colin but I cannot remember the last time I carried out this task, but it was definitely in the UK and I can remember laying on the ground with fluid all over the place, hence now the use of automatic bleeding systems. My Auto Bleeding System is Nissan Service but it costs. - Dave 😋

“There is no set time to change the brake fluid in your vehicle. The timing varies by type of car, the driving conditions you typically encounter, and the manufacturer's recommendations. But a good rule of thumb is to check it during regular oil changes, and expect to change it every four to five years. This is what I normally go for as a check - as they do need to Stop You !
The reason for this measure is that brake fluid is very hydrophilic, that means it tends to absorb water. When applying the brake, the braking system, and with it the brake fluid, is heated up in such a way that the water starts to boil and form vapour bubbles. These bubbles are compressed during braking. Therefore, the increasing proportion of water in the system reduces the brake pressure. A specialist garage is able to determine the boiling point of the brake fluid and thus state when it become necessary to change it.”

Disagree with you on fluid change. The manufacturers recommend it is done every 2 years as per the maintenance schedule.

Your quote.

RVW, I agree with your comment and correct every 2 years it is , I checked our Service Sheets. The comments were “Cut & Paste” information and I should have checked those comments, but I am sure these extended times are used by many owners - Sorry for the mix up - Dave 😡
