Hi
I bought a spare saver wheel to replace the instant mobility system on my 69 plate qashqai.
When storing the spare saver wheel it makes the boot surface uneven.
I presume I am missing something here and I have bought the wrong size or need to buy something to make surface even again?

Hi, can. I suggest that you take a look in the “Search” Area regarding your question as there have been many posts on this subject you just need to play around with the subject - “Spare Wheel” / “Emergency Wheeel” for example. There are many photos and comments available. Attached is an example.
We transferred a 16” Wheel from our old QQ and because the Tekna + has a Bose Sub-Woofer it does not sit snugly in the rear of the wheel, therefore the Flexible Cover is uneven. Many other members have installed 17” Wheels and this allows the Sub-Woofer to sit deeper - Dave

I have just acquired a J10b Tekna with the Bose sub woofer. Would the same idea apply?

Snixy, I am not really up to speed on the J10 QQ but if you are refueling to the Spare Wheel ours is from a J10 Model so it should also work in that the Sub-Woofer (providing its the same Spec & Dimensions) should fit just the same. If you have no Spare Wheel then you need to get hold of all the associate parts. If you do not have them these are what I am talking about from Glyn Hopkins for reference or look on the Web - Dave

Thanks Dave. It looks like there’s only enough depth for a safe wheel rather than a full size one. I’ve since found out I need a 17” rather than 16” for the sub woofer to fit. It looks like they carried over the same Bose sub woofer from the J10 to the J11.

Snixy, it is basically an “Emergency“ Get You Home Wheel not a Full Sized Version as this would create space problems. OK I am satisfied with how our 16“ Wheel / Böse installation turned out (did not want to buy New) but from the feedback here the 17“ appears to have more space for the Sub-Woofer - I hope it works for you Dave
