Hello,

I have a 2017 Qashqai Tekna, this morning a yellow tyre icon with an exclamation mark in it appeared on the dashboard. I thought maybe I had a puncture but having checked each tyre there's nothing obvious. On the main driver's display I selected the tyre pressure screen and for the driver's side front wheel the reading was missing (shows a '--' rather than a zero). I've attached an image - this was just after starting and all tyres showed blank.

Has anybody seen this before? I'm thinking this is likely an issue with a tyre pressure sensor rather than a genuine puncture. Furthermore, does anybody know an easy fix, I've tried turning it off an on but to no avail.

Thanks as always!

Trye pressure will show up on display once you drive. Check the tyres with a pressure gauge if you have one. Should be set at 33psi front 30psi back

Do a 30min or so drive. TPMS values will appear and settle. You also get a useful battery charge.... 8-)

Hi

I had a similar occurrence as this a while ago. The amber warning light on and showing no reading for a front tyre. It lasted a few days, I kept checking the tyre, but it was okay. I guessed I would need a new TPMS fitted, but after a few days the amber light went out and the tyre pressure reading for that tyre came back on! Guess it may have been a bit of dirt or grit got on the sensor to throw up a fault, but who knows? Hopefully yours will do the same and burst back into life after a few days.

Thank you all for your responses, very helpful. It is strange as the warning light on the dashboard has actually now disappeared, though all of the tyres now indicate a pressure reading except one. I am very sure there is no puncture on this tyre. It's having a service next month so will bring it up then. I'm starting to wonder if it's crazy to think the current heat we're having in the UK at the moment if playing havoc with the sensor.

I'd join you on that last thought. A friend of mine has a 208 and that's showing an error on all four tyres - but I've checked the pressures and they're fine. I'm suspecting the hot weather.
