Hi, new to the site and I'll have a trawl through to see but thought I'd see here if anyone has had a similar problem.
We are situated near the Macclesfield area and have a 2011 Qashqai +2 1.5 DCI manual... its just had a DPF Regen as it was heavily sooted and the Traction control lights were coming up at the same time as the Engine warning light. The cruise control has never worked in the year we've had it. The Engine Warning light now appears to be resolved with the DPF clearance but the Traction Control light is back on and the system is not working.
The independent garage who carried out the service and regen said they had a similar issue with a previous Qashqai that was not resolved with them and required Nissan to diagnose, however they did delve quite deeply and believe it was a software issue in the ECU.
The problem we have is that there is currently no traction control nor quick way to solve the issue.... local Nissan Dealers have a min 2 week waiting list apparently.
The local garage, who have been excellent thus far, do not want to go on a wild goose chase of sensors and other parts and prefer to hand it to Nissan to find the root cause. They have a fault code of ACDS and that's it as they haven't got the full diagnostic suite for Nissan.
Has anyone had a similar issue that found a resolution?
Thank you for your help in advance.

You need the diagnostic tool. I had a Mercedes B Class auto and had traction control light, abs warning light, no cruise control and engine management light on. It turned out to be the brake switch on the top of the peddle. Without the right tools, you could spend a fortune trying to locate the problem.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

ACDS is likely a bit of a red herring? The problem could be that communications from either drivetrain units or sensors is corrupt. Anything related would certainly cause the ECU to show engine fault lights and consequently disable functions. The car drivetrain communication system uses a CAN bus to communicate to/from individual sensors etc....digitally. The test equipment for Auto electricians is likely beyond their reach. The likes of Nissan won't publicise detailed information to test stuff anyway.

Thank you for the replies... it goes in to a Nissan specialist for diagnostic check tomorrow... they said it’s a common problem that could be rear speed or ABS sensor.
I’ll update if they find it.
Car has also developed a horrid grinding noise (I work abroad so its my wife’s description) so hopefully we’ll see what the score is!
