does anyone know where the fuse is located supplying the towbar electrics?
I want to remove it to see if its pulling my battery down but I have been unable to locate it.

What is the battery make...if its FIAMM get ready to call Nissan

Do you have a diagram for the towbar electrics? Towbar circuits would be open circuit when not plugged up. Unless something different exists in the wiring? Perhaps a dedicated circuit which isn't using the cars own power controlled system (IPDM).

No the Battery type is a Varta L3FB 70Ah but I do think it's the battery as its a dedicated Nissan harness and with nothing plugged in there should be no load on the battery

It is located here; (I paused it were you see it), it's the second 30A from above

A few days back someone here carried out a 7 pin tow bar installation. Post linked below. Apparently there is a connector pre installed at production in the boot...so take a look at the post:

Looking at the Nissan diagnostic diagrams there is no specific tow bar fuses. Lights are controlled by Smart FETS which are not replaceable. 11 of them. If the tow bar is 13pin for Fridge etc then I suspect dedicated extra wiring will need to be installed and be separately fused somewhere near the IPDM related fuse block. IPDM controls all the cars body power requirements. Engine feeds are separate and fused accordingly.

But that connector (behind the boot liner in the upper right corner right?) doesn't has an additional fuse so that doesn't answers the TS's question. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The fuse I indicate is for the tow hook if I may believe the Nissan mechanic who told me about it ;)

He's asking about parasitic leakage Niek. Thats my take anyway. The tow bar electrics would only be wires and perhaps additional wires/fuses for a 13pin socket. If its a Nissan loom addition then ask Nissan. Without an as built diagram we are stuffed.

I don't know what additional wiring might be present and that might be to the Battery direct.

For J11A I saw a 30A "OPTION" fuse named F39 (I think). However, that would need a separate cable out to the tow bar socket...Fridge/12v ring cct etc?

Think some of the tow bar kits incorporate a relay to switch stuff in or out...never seen a functional diagram so its all a bit...magical?
