Headlight upgrade

Hi all, I’m new to this forum but here to stay - it’s fantastic!

Picking up a 20 plate J11 in a few weeks (1st ever Qashqai).
It’s an N-Connecta but on reflection I now really like the Tenka full LED headlights and would love to know if I can simply buy these lights and plug them in.

I’m not technical in the slightest so a simple answer would be nice :D , i.e can it be done in theory? What are the implications etc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards
Seb

Welcome to this forum.

I suspect the answer is a qualified "no" or "yes, but there'll be problems" but I'll leave it to others to comment in detail.

I also switched to a car with LEDs but before buying, only after test driving a Tekna and deciding to go with that rather than the pre-reg car I'd targeted.

I suspect that it very complex.
The lights on the Tekna respond to steering input
You might be able to swap out the whole front light pod but they would probably cost a substantial sum.

I'm not sure the automatic headlight levelling system would be on halogen equipped cars either - certainly the LED pack when it used to be offered included that as part of the option.

A simple answer; yes you can change your halogeen bulbs with LED versions but...
it is easy, gives the nice white color but they are not automatic levelling nor turning in the corners and you might encounter problems at the MOT.
But lot amoung us did change them, so did I on my previous QQ, a Connect edition.
On my YT channel you can find tutorials on how to install them easily and how a did for the MOT.

Yes, but he wasn't wanting to put LED bulbs in, rather replace the headlights.

+1
And on the halogen cars there's a switch on the dash as well to adapt to height so to could interfere when you just plug the connector to the new light units.
