Since I bought my Qashqai 1.6 Tekna the maps are not showing however when I zoom out I can see the European maps. In the other hand I've seen Qashqais in my country (Morocco) with maps working.

Any idea why the maps aren't showing and how to get them work?

Probably something to ask a dealer. Morocco is not included on mapping software available in the UK

May be a bit simple, but have you checked the SD card is in the slot?

Should be if you want to see "le bled" ;) ... so I guess it is (as often there) an imported car from Europe so with a EU Map Data sd card.
When you find yourself a African SD card (for instance on ebay) and plug that one in you should get what you want. Count about 400MAD for that.

gloucester: The dealer is always my last option their prices are insane!!! they can easily charge +100USD for this!
Cod: Yes there is an SD card within.
calnorth: I am not the first owner though but like lapalmeraie has said the car is mostly imported from EU.

lapalmeraie: LOL I mainly use waze for navigation and I'm curious if the built-in nav system would do better and be more accurate? besides why not use the feature?
I have checked few times on Ebay but couldn't land on one otherwise I'll get it immediately!

No you are saying... i remember vaguely that Africa was only available as GPS navigation... not as a real map...

Waze or Google Maps have more up to date information than the built in Sat Nav in the U.K.

Search on here for Black Rojer, he sells SD cards with up to date maps for Europe, maybe he can help.

lapalmeraie: That would be a shame!
MikeGC:I'll check with him thanks! Do you think that it doesn't worth the hassle and better continue using waze?

If you are using roads that have been there for a few years the built in Sat Nav is fine. But it’s always a little bit out of data as the software isn’t updated frequently.
Google always seems to be up to date data.
But I like the graphics and the directions the built in Sat Nav gives
