USB music randomly disconnecting

Hi. I have a qashqai 67 plate. When my iPhone is connected via the usb it randomly disconnects the music and I get the message usb device connected. even though the phone doesn’t disconnect from the usb power.
I have tried different cables to see if it was that but it’s still the same.
The software I have is F16a
Any help would be appreciated

F16A is reliable software...so far. As such its not been updated by Nissan for the Connecta 3 (2017) head unit.
I don't have Iphone but am pretty sure my Android won't play mp3's through USB (or Bluetooth). I'll check again today as the last time I tried it I didn't attempt to mount the phone as with PC procedure. No messages appeared and is common nothing happened.
Do you simply plug in and get to view the list of files (mp3) on the iPhone internal or external drives?

Yeah plug iPhone into usb and and music comes files comes onto the screen

Just for general info:
Connecting an Android 8.1 phone via USB to a Connecta 3 head unit. Thats a 2017 Head Unit with F16A firmware.
No mp3 file played...simply silence. Suddenly the mp3 played via Bluetooth and caused confusion with the phone when I turned off Android Bluetooth. For me this is not a place to go. I have no idea whether this arrangement might drop out randomly. I won't use it.
This Headunit type has issues with SDCards on USB. Some say it'll play 128GB others not. I can't get past 16GB and fed up with its flakey ways.
