Yep - the USB hub or whatever needs replacing , but so does the forward sensor that takes care of Pro-Pilot , Cruise Control , anti Collision .
This devise is impacting upon so many systems , be glad when its fixed.
The USB hub is part of the head unit operating system (OS). It uses installed drivers to manage USB devices that are plugged in by the user. We have similar on PC's and phones. Don't know what that has to do with forward sensing?
As I mentioned - the USB hub needs replacement , but so do the other parts.
Agreed they have no impact - was just letting people know that there were issues so to speak
Did this also show any issue with the CD player?

I presume that actually means "I don't have any CDs to try in the CD player"

(though I'm not sure what relevance the CD player would have here?)

Hi gloucester,

calnorth enquired about the CD player because he knows from my posts here that I'm having issues with both the centre console USB port and the CD player in my new Qashqai. Using either of these things sends my Connect unit into a rebooting loop. Nissan keep telling me it's a known software glitch and I just have to wait for an update to fix it. I believe my problems are different, however Nissan won't even consider the possibility that my unit might actually be defective. I've now been waiting for this elusive software update since the beginning of August...... :x
