Chassis Control Graphic

Hi all,

When I flick through the various graphics that you can have showing in the central display between the rev counter and the speedo one of them is the chassis control graphic, is it meant to do anything such as light up or flash etc?
When I have it showing it's just a picture of a car, I've even tried caning it round a really tight bend on a sliproad coming off a duel carriageway near to me but the graphic doesn't do anything.

Regards, Chris.

Hi Dave,

I did try the search facility first but it just brings up posts about faults and changing pipes.

I've just been through the various settings and I can't find anywhere where is says turn chassis control on or off, active trace control is switched on though.

On the attachment in your post what is the small graphic just below the 19°c

Regards, Chris.

Same thing? Check settings:

[Chassis Control]

This allows you to turn [Trace Control] and [Engine Brake] on or off.

– [Trace Control]:
(For more information, see “Intelligent Trace Control” in the “5. Starting and driving” section)
– [Engine Brake]:
(For more information, see “Intelligent Engine Brake (for Xtronic (CVT) models only)” in the “5. Starting and driving” section)

...

11. [Chassis Control]

When either the Intelligent Trace Control (where fitted), Intelligent Engine Brake (where fitted), Easy Hill Start (where fitted) or the Intelligent Ride Control
system is operated, it shows the operating condition. See “Chassis control” in the “5. Starting and driving” section and “Easy Hill Start (EHS) (where fitted)” in the “5. Starting and driving” section for more details.

** Update **

I went down a local country lane today with some sharp bends, I managed to get the chassis control graphic lighting up like a Christmas tree, so I now know it actually works 👍

Hi Chris, I am having the same issue with the Chassis control, on the vehicle information display, all I see is a car, not cross-hatching and certainty no blue areas lighting up to left or right as I corner. So you only see the cross-hatching and lights on extreme bends? Do you need to throw it into a bend?

Hi Happyhouse,

I've only had it light up once for me and that was because I was deliberately trying to (having said that I normally have my speed graphic up and not the one for the chassis control)
The only way I got it to light up (all 4 corners went blue) was to go into a 90° right-hand bend a bit quicker than I normally would, but not so quick that I would end up in the ditch if the chassis control didn't kick in.
The road was slightly damp with some fallen leaves on the bend.

Regards, Chris.

Try a large empty car park next time!
