Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

Post by haydennn »

Hello everyone.

I had purchased a Qashqai last year regular ST Model with a stock radio (non touch screen orange-ish theme on it)

I recently bought a touch screen carplay unit from Ebay and I'm looking to use it in my qashqai. It was fairly cheap as the seller had obtained a crashed vehicle and is selling it's parts so if this doesn't work it wasn't a huge waste of money.

Anyways.

This is the current radio I have and It has the Mini USB Connection, a Antenna and 3 different connectors on it.

I am able to plug the smaller 22 plug into the new touch screen headunit I bought but there seems to be (on my stock headunit) a secondary larger plug (not sure how many pins) and the new headunit has a 40 pin I'm looking to get some sort of connector to see if I can just plug and play if not would anybody be able to help with finding pinout diagrams for these headunits or are they forever hidden away with Nissan?

Below is the new headunit connections (as you can see there's a top connection that is the 40pin and doesn't have that 8pin like my stock radio at the moment)

Thanks and my apologies if this doesn't make sense or somebody has posted something similar before.

Welcome to this forum.

Not sure anyone from your area has previously done this upgrade.

I'd note that I've never seen your current infotainment system before - it's significantly different from the UK version - so things might be subtly different.

I’m from New Zealand our QQ’s are imported from UK but they have different settings on them etc like most of our cars don’t come with TPMS or Alarms etc

The photo you had the headunit in the left is what I have not sure what the right headunit is
