Climate control temperature issues

Hi all
Had anyone had any issues with the climate control system on their 2019 petrol Qashqai not functioning correctly? On my Qashqai it seems that I have to have the temperature set much lower than I would in other cars and it still feels hot. I would normally have a car set to around 19-20C but in my Qashqai I have to have it set to 16.5C or sometimes even Low to keep the car cool enough, even in winter. I have got the system set to Auto with the AC on. Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to the forum.
With such a new car the old fashioned "take it back to the dealer" advice is valid.
You are still under warranty.
Generally mine is set it and forget it
Good Luck

Welcome to this forum.
Not really - I found it excellent on my Qashqai - I usually set it at 18degC.
That said I do have my current car set at 20degC so there is a small variation.

Hi Jessie, as Mike has suggested if you are unhappy with the Air Con get your Nissan Dealer to take a look under Guarantee.
Our System is behaving and we have no problems at present, we also normally have ours set down to 19*C, but as here at present it has got down to an outside temp of - 3*C this week I have set it up to 20-22*C - Dave
This is just a quick test I done from cold : Auto / AC / Set @ 19*C and then wound up to 22*C and the Fan Speed increased.
Here is a Nissan Attachment which you have most probably seen :

I have exactly the same problem. My car is a 2019 with only 6,000 miles on the clock. From experience in other cars this is an aircon problem. Taking mine back to the dealer soon.

I have the same problem on my 2019 Qq N-Connecta 1.3L 160hp. I bought it new last year. I took it to the dealership under warranty and they said it is normal. However I find it odd and annoying, but it only happens in the winter. I think the car blows hot air even if it is set on 18 degrees and outside it is 4 degrees celcius, in order to bring the inside to the target temperature. Only if I set the temperature on Lo and switch off the AC and reduce the fan speed I get the normal cold air in the blowers in winter

Iām not trying to sound condescending or belittling your problem
The system seems to work like some sort of climate control.
I think what you were doing by setting the system to 18Ā° is asking the car to make the cabin temperature 18Ā°. So the system works hard to raise the cabin temperature, blowing air much warmer than 18Ā° to overcome the cold air in the cabin. The cabin temperature will be almost the same as the outside/ambient temperature and with all the glass involved the system has to work hard to bring the cabin up to temperature.
This suits me (although I tend to go for 16.5Ā° or 17Ā° with the current low temperatures) so I canāt think of anything which might help you with your predicament.

Thnka MikeGC, thatās also how I understand it now. Itās not very comfortable in winter, but I am fine with it as it is

Mike, it appears what you have commented on above to be correct, as Nissan actually call it a āClimate Controlā - Dave

Thanks Dave, the more I thought about it the more obvious it became that it was proper climate control.
