Engine management light on

I picked up my car last Friday, 18th Dec 20 and the very next day the yellow engine management light came on. This was on a brand new car with about 20 miles on clock!
I arranged for car to be looked at and was at garage 2 hours. They reset and reprogrammed everything, saying that should sort problem. It did, for about 8 miles. I had asked for a copy of Self Diagnosis Results and the faults came from “DOWNSTREAM 02S HEATING CIRC 1.DEF, DOWNSTREAM 02 SENSOR 1.DEF & DOWNSTREAM NOX SENSOR 6.DEF”. I have no idea what any of that means, but car is now booked in for a full day and I won’t accept simple resets.
I will update you all on what happens next, as this all has ruined my new car buying experience.

Its an emissions problem detected along the exhaust pipe. Looks like an O2 sensor heating problem...for one.

Thanks for info calnorth.
My car was in garage for a full week, as they had to wait on nox sensor and replace it. I had an x trail as courtesy car, which was ok, but manual. The car has now been fine for a week so far!
