Hi all,

Tried searching the forums in case this has come up before but can't see anything

The 2017 pre-facelift Tekna I have got has the worst resolution cameras known to man to the point that they're barely useable

Would this be caused by low resolution cameras or a low resolution screen or both?

e.g could anything be upgraded to give a higher resolution image?

My J11 N-Connecta had an acceptably sharp picture for what its intended to be used for, so long as they are cleaned very regularly

Note that it will not display jpg files and the like. The camera processing is a sort of industry bare minimum. All very simplistic you might say.

I think the cameras around the car show up really poorly on the display to the point where I struggle to see what is going on

Was thinking of upgrading the cameras or the head unit to get more clarity?

You might get somewhere with an Android Entertainment Box which is well discussed on this site. Camera will be tricky to get and fit i'd say?

I wonder if just changing the head unit would improve the camera screen resolution and picture?

Automotive screens are often low rent.
