Hello
I've spent awhile looking through the forums to see if this issue hasn't been addressed already, but can't find anything similar.
I have a J10 1.5 Diesel. A recent fault/issue has started when ever I put the car into reverse.
I get the initial beep that you get when going into reverse (parking sensor beep). This beep then instantly changes to a high pitched beep/alarm noise.
It continues for about 2 seconds - then turns into an intermittent beep - it sounds just like a lorry reversing.
Whilst this is happening, the reversing sensors don't work - after about 4 seconds, the higher pitch alarming stops, and then the parking sensors work as normal.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Thank you - Simon

It's your typical annoying electrical fault in that it's intermittent and a nightmare to trace the origin.
At the moment it's stopped - I'm going to check later that it's not an over inflated "Bulb out" warning signal - then if it continues, I'll probably give Nissan a ring.
One thing it does show - is how dependent on reversing sensors you get, to hep park your car!

Does it have an After Market reversing alarm unit fitted? That is not standard AFAIK.Trail71 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 9:22 am It's your typical annoying electrical fault in that it's intermittent and a nightmare to trace the origin.

Hi - no it's all standard - it's had a tow bar fitted - but that was last year. Coincidentally it started after being jet washed, which may or may not be a factor

I don't think you get a beep when going into reverse unless you're close to an object behind.
Drobinson - is yours exhibiting exactly the same symptoms?
