Thought I'd add this to the forum in case anybody has the same task I had.
I needed a permanent live 12V socket in the boot to use for my CTEK charger to keep the battery charged over winter lockdown.
I found this detailed guide on you tube (albeit in Italian but language barrier not a problem as easy to follow) .

Worked out perfectly for me, charging car successfully through the 12V socket with the required adapter.
Had plenty of crimps and spare cable left over, 12V socket from amazon was under a fiver ( tried local Halfords but they don't stock a screw on type).
Used the same mounting location which is a bit flimsy as plastic trim not firm but suits as a charging point for me.
