Hi All,

Trust your well -

I'm new to the forum - Just purchased my QQ Mk2.2017 N-Connecta

I've always wanted to have heated seats, Never been an option on my previous Company Cars of 12 years plus - Anyway, the QQ is my own to free to do whatever I like

I'd like to add heated seats to the cloth interior (only the front seats) Looking online I've already ordered the switches and trim required - On its way - £25 quid - Not bad

The wiring under the seats looks to already be there, I've got do to a little more searching for the wiring diagrams online -

Looking online, I cant see that anyone has done it before, Saw another thread on here but it was for a J10 - Can anybody help me out -

Can I buy any heat pad for the seats 'universal' ones you see on eBay Ect - Is it a simply as two wires for live and ground.. - Seen some really pricey ones on there from Main Stealers.. £150 each side..

Any idea on anything I'm missing? -

Do I need to uprate a fuse, Am I missing a 'controller' / relay - Anything like that would be great - More than happy to write up a guide and some pictures

Thank you!

I had a Tekna so the heating was already in place. I don't recall anyone converting before. Are you sure the wiring is already there and it's not the seat belt occupation sensor that you're seeing?

My 2017 n-connecta had factory fitted heated seats and a heated screen.

I'll have to get a picture of the 'spare' connectors under the seats, On inspection there was a few. So thought id be good there. I'm sure I read somewhere that the switch connectors were on the looms even if the spec wasn't available on that interior. Again probably where I will check next

I purchased an n-connecta last September , 70 plate and had to pay extra for the heat pack i.e. heated seats and windscreen, so was an optional extra for mine.

The front seatpads have thermal cut off devices within each seat pad so it disrupts current flow through each seatpad so as not to scorch you haha, no relays involved literally 2 switches one for each side, on low it runs the bum seat pad and the back seat pad in series and on high they run in parallel. If you have the connection tors under the seats already may aswell get genuine pads and fit them and the two switches and then pop a fuse in the correct spot and you should be away hopefully, no controller needed they dont use a controller.

Here is a list just as an example (most probably out of date) which shows the “Options” that were offered - Dave 🤨

Looks like I must have opted for the heat pack when I ordered my n-connecta, not like me to be so sensible !!

Its all well and good getting the switches - but the centre console is different too - the cubby hole is smaller to accommodate the switches
