Hi All,
Hope your well -
Shelved the heated seat upgrade of the moment, As I cant find any genuine heated seat elements for the front seats yet, Still looking but for £100 for each, coming to summer - Will be something I get round to later on in the year when its cold again -
Next on my list was Auto Tailgate - Now online and a few posts on here - There seems to be options for a 'third party' auto tailgate, but not as standard equipment via Nissan, but have seen them on cars in Asia and Australia on Youtube (again could be installed via the China kits) - But to confirm whether regardless of where in the world you bought your car - Was Auto Tailgate an option to buy from Nissan on the J11a? I don't seem to think so.. but does anyone know the answer?
Further to my question I started thinking outside the box here.. I was looking on another video from Youtube, on how to install a 12V ciggy socket into the boot for my camping cool box - Very good video showing a 'spare' plug near the rear interior boot light for the 12V live feed - Now I'm not sure what this plug is actually for? anyone know? Is there any rouge spare plugs around which I don't know maybe I could retro fit from a X-Trail - Seen on eBay the tailgate ECU and switches. Has anyone ever looked at it?
Many Thanks
Tom

I believe this was the last post on the subject of Auto Tailgates. Yes they are around from China, No it does not appear that any member has installed them. As far as I know and we had a 2014 QQ Tekna there was and still is no Auto Tailgate offered by Nissan, but the X-Trail does have the system. - Dave

On the tailgate issue it's been reported that once fitted the raised height is lower than the unassisted standard and hence it can be an issue for taller people.
On the boot power situation the "spare plug" might be for towing harness connection? I have no experience of that since I haven't fitted one.

Tom, regarding the Tailgate there is another option, but this could be very expensive, time consuming, complex, a major project and a little over the top. The New QQ 2021 has this Auto Tailgate and there could be an option of purchasing parts
(Kit ?) from Nissan (Expensive), now whether they fit or it is worth the hassle is an open question. The New Struts for example would be for a Composite Lightweight Hatch and might not be strong enough for a Metal Hatch.
This is just a Suggestion / Idea to think about -Dave
