Ahhh was going to say if it was an auto then that's possibly why mine doesn't come up haha, just checked mine and it has AEB and not IEB which might be different.
May I show my ignorance and ask what the difference is between the two?

Not entirely too sure to be honest squashy I'll have to do a little digging, I know one is intelligent emergency braking and the other is autonomous emergency breaking, all I can assume is one could be an upgraded version of the other, unless the intelligent braking comes with propilot possibly.

Recieved a reply from Nissan GB this morning regarding my initial enquiry regarding whether my IEB was working/not working, especially the fact that I do not have the same icon showing that others do.
My car is scheduled to go into the Dealership on Thursday so that the Technician can check it over.

Thank you for contacting Nissan Customer Services regarding your IEB icon query.

Please be informed that the Intelligent Emergency Braking system used in some Qashqai (J11), Micra (K14), X-Trail (T32) and Leaf (ZE1). The software design for the affected vehicles may interpret specific road objects as potential obstacles and initiate IEB activation per design intent. However, this activation may not meet customer expectations.

You can continue to drive the vehicle, this is not a safety related issue. Whilst Nissan expects that a very limited number of vehicles may be affected by the concern, it is of utmost importance to Nissan that the customers contact their Nissan dealer, as soon as possible, so that the vehicle can be repaired.

The work will take a maximum of 40 minutes to complete at no cost to yourself; however additional time may be required depending on your Nissan dealer's scheduling and capacity.

Please be advised that in the coming days, you will receive an invitation to participate in an online survey where you will be given a chance to have your say and provide feedback on your recent contact with myself here at Nissan Customer Services.

The survey invitation will be sent from Nissan@clive.consumer-live.com and we look forward to hearing from you

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us using the details below

As a matter of interest and just for fun I decided to do a spot of 'Myth buster's'
As I've read a few times the sensor behind the Nissan badge and the forward facing camera can become confused if extremely dirty, snow, leaves etc and an error message should display on the centre screen?
Have some old pieces of lead flashing in the garage, gently taped to both the front of the car where the sensor is and to the windscreen to cover the camera. Took the car for a quick drive down the cul-de-sac and back.
Nothing, nowt, rien, nichts, niente, nada, 何もいい
I'm hoping it's going to be a soft ware update and not new sensor/camera although this should be done under warranty it will mean yet more time spent back and forth with the Dealership.

Just what ever you do don't try the other method which would entail a friend stood in a car park and drive at them to see if it stops haha.

No that would be silly 😁
I was considering placing a few empty cardboard packing boxes at the turning circle and try the obvious but decided against it as the neighbours would think I'd finally flipped!

There was an IEB update about 14 months back for J11B. I got it free at Service Dec 2020....for what it was worth?

To be fair that's usually how the manufacturers test them except they put a fancy car shaped cover over them.
