USB Connection

Getting some strange things going on with my USB connector. When my USB stick is connected to my computer all tracks are visible and play, instal it in my car and all tracks are visible and will play. The next time I get in the car, many of the track are missing and sometime all albums go missing. Switch from mix to normal play and the tracks re appear, obviously don't like mixing the tracks. Anyone else have this problem?
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

2014 QQ Accenta premium plus, 32gb stick Exfat format. If it makes a difference, and I am not sure it does, my computer is an Apple Mac late 2013

I think it needs to be FAT32, there are some utilities on the web to format larger drives in this format. I use a 64gb stick with no problems at all
