Hi guys

when am playing my music (from my phone)with Apple car play and skip forward on my steering wheel, it tend to take about 2 seconds to respond, is that normal or is there a setting to remove the latency?

Hi all,
I bought a Sinosmart unit recently. I was suprised on the fast delivery, I think it arrived around 7 days earlier than the estimated time. I ordered with the upgrade to 8G/256GB (from 4G/64GB) BOSE version + a DAB receiver + a Fakra cable for GPS, it was almost £300 for UK. It was really easy to install even if I did not open the car before.

I've installed it and 360 degree cameras working, either they come on when in reverse or by long-pressing the Call button.

I use Spotify and Youtube Music, sometimes DAB radio too, so I installed a SIM card so I don't have to create a hotspot from my phone but also in case the car gets stollen I can use Maps Location Sharing to find out where it is. I already downloaded offline maps for Google Maps and I've installed Sygic and downloaded UK so I don't use a lot of data.

I don't seem to have the same bass level as the original unit, not sure if the BOSE subwoofer actually works, I think I will unlock it from the back and try to check, did others have this issue?
Traffic sign reconition DOES work, a lot of people here said it doesn't.

DAB radio had to use an USB receiver (unit comes with a 2x USB female input, I used 1 for DAB and 1 for an USB flash drive).

Overall good unit, sometimes is a bit slow when installing an app, which means the CPU / memory isn't that great. At the moment it annoys me when camera cuts the Spotify sound but the app keeps playing so I miss on the song, I think I will use Tasker to pause Spotify but haven't tried yet if it works. I have tried the internal mic, I've been told they can hear me, not great sound, but alright. I have not installed that ugly external microphone. The SIM did not work immediately, had to press the Reset on the headunit.
I will try some themes to make split screen work better to have maps and radio / music on same display

Some issues:
1. Is there a way to change the button for 360 from the Call button as I would like the voice commands to work?
2. I cannot use Speed Limiter / Cruise Control because the Set buttons don't work, any idea?
3. Not really an issue, but did others installed the SIM card or you think it is overkill?
4. Wifi seems a bit spotty, I assume you either need to install the antenna more towards outside than in the video or get closer to the router.
5. BOSE subwoofer issues / less bass?
6. Developer options are locked on the unit with a password, anyone knows it? I did ask Support but they send me factory password only 8888
7. I don't really like the original "Theme" launcher, so any suggestions?
8. My car doors on the Sinosmart are reversed any help setting them up?

2. I've just installed the same unit to my J11b Tekna+ model and have also found the speed limiter will set but the cruise control will not. I have contacted the supplier and they will be looking into it, hopefully with a resolution to come soon.
5. I have also noticed reduced bass with the BOSE sound system.
6. Developer options code is 123456.
7. You can change the launcher themes, usually by downloading through the Google Play store. I'm currently running the Agama launcher. Search YouTube on how to change themes or 'best themes' for other suggestions.
8. I have turned off the doors notifications in settings on the radio head unit as this shows on my dashboard (between the revs & speedometer).

2. I have just figured out that if you press 'set' (to set the speed) within the time you can see the 'cruise on' on your dashboard, the cruise control will activate at the speed you are going at that moment in time. You will still be able to press 'cancel' after this and set a new speed whenever you wish by pressing 'set' again. Obviously to turn off completely, press the cruise control button on the steering wheel again.

I am happy to share with you my experience of purchasing a Sinosmart 4G -64G No Bose player via aliexpress.
Excellent contact with the seller who was available and responsive to answer my questions and resolve a customs-related issue.
Delivery within 10 days.
Installed yesterday, everything works very well.
360 camera accessible via the home screen with a simple click and active and easily configurable steering wheel controls.
The sound quality is good.
I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the player.
Assembly time 3/4 hour for a novice.
I recommend without hesitation.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the contributors here and thanks to you I found the best answers.

Hi have a problem with the canbas for steering wheel controls .
On the head unit comes up with nill on the screen .
Tried changing the wires at the back but still the same.
Headunit was bought second hand.

You cannot use that panel, only for non-canbus cars. Your car and radio needs a canbus-box.
SWC is hard-coded in the canbus-box. If you do have a canbus-box you need to go into settings
and select the correct car and model. After that, your SWC will work.

I would personally recommend 6 or 8 GB.

1. I read somewhere that the turn by turn navigation does not work with sinosmart on the tft screen on the dashboard. Is this still the case or has anyone manage to get it working?
2. Is everyone experiencing the cruise control issue where you cant set it, only when you set it while it says cruise control on?
3. Can i connect the QQs built in microphone with the sinosmart? How do i connect it?

1. Still not visible on the center screen, goes for all Chinese units. Reason being Canbus-box limitations.
2. I don't have that problem.
3. Yes but no. The original microphone needs a power supply of 6 volt for the internal amplifier
to work. There are no pins available in the Chinese connector for connecting the QQs internal microphone.
If you are able to fix the shortcomings I described, the answer is yes, otherwise no. This problem is also on all
Chinese units not only Sinosmart.

Some newer more expensive Chinese units have built in noise cancelling microphone. Like DUDU 7.
