On my QQ Acenta stop/start has been disabled at the dealers garage. A mechanic disconnected the bonnet sensor and repositioned it - and stop/start was disabled. No alarm problems or any other problems. Me very happy :-)

Hi. This is what I did but when I tried to lock doors alarm sounded. Can you lock doors with no alarm?

Luca must have aftermarket alarm not integrated with car electrics and data communication (CAN-BUS). In such case, there is no, or separate hood switch. Interesting that her dealer did this modification, especially because it is illegal from Nissan perspective ;)

Or luca has just as the mainland models no alarm to start with.
Re positioning the bonnet sensor results in a open bonnet signal. Disabling the start/stop but picked up by the alarm as a opened bonnet ;)

My QQ is for Croatian i.e. mainland market and there is no (aftermarket) alarm. I've double checked the warranty with my mechanic and the chief of the garage and they confirmed my original Nissan waranty will be valid after s/s has been disabled in such manner. I do not have any alarm issue or warning lights on.

Did your dealer confirmed this to you in writing or verbally? ;)
