Can't fault the RAC, the guy attending had seen this issue many times and had made sure he had the correct battery with him. Ran the tests which said "Replace", and so he did. Great service.

Jamierave, have you checked for an error code with an obd reader? The reason I’m asking is that I have had “The Battery Issue” with a Fiamm battery, this threw up start/stop error, chassis errors etc. The battery was replaced under warranty.
Also, recently, I again had, start/stop problems along with chassis control fault and other systems failing. I had and error code relating to the exhaust gas pressure sensor being faulty. The sensor wasn’t faulty but the pipe connecting it to the exhaust manifold was blocked. I unblocked it and everything is fine.
It maybe worth checking out. There is a thread for this on here... the link is below.

2014 Qashqai Tekna
Our 2016 Qashqai on warranty. Called dealer with battery starting complaint, couldn't see us til 10 December??? Did research on FIAMM problems. Called RAC direct (why didn't dealer suggest this???). RAC came to our home, tested and confirmed battery was crap, and replaced with Nissan battery on the spot. Zero stars Nissan service department, *****RAC

Hi
Just had my Fiamm battery canged on my 2017 Qashqai had to keep jump starting it. Its been replaced with Nissan KE241-70E00EF (12V / 70Ah / 720A) this is a regular battery and not a EFB Battery I thought the stop start system needed the enhanced flooded battery. My stop start still not working but its no loss really. My tester is showing that the new battery is in good working order.
The stop start only works if battery is always at 80% or higher is this the case and does the Qasgqai have to have an EFB battery

KE241-70E00EF supersedes to KE241-70E01EF which is the latest version. It is EFB battery for Stop/Start vehicles as noted also on the battery part number KE241-70E01(EF). You can use also regular flooded battery type, but that won’t survive longer than few months. To avoid battery been undercharged you can make a mod which will make it fully charged at all times.Welshexport wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 10:57 am Its been replaced with Nissan KE241-70E00EF (12V / 70Ah / 720A) this is a regular battery and not a EFB Battery I thought the stop start system needed the enhanced flooded battery.
... does the Qasgqai have to have an EFB battery?

After 2.5 half years, battery in my QQ also drop dead. It was FIAMM battery in it.
When I went first time to service, some two month ago, they didn't want to replace it, they said it was 75% charged, I need to drive car constantly on longer distances. Then I couldn't start it few times without cables. Then I insisted on replacing.
Now, they replace it with Nissan OEM battery model KE241-70E01-EF.
