Link still wouldn't work, maybe is my youtube.

After 2,5 years use, Nissan changed today my FIAMM battery with this OEM "CYWT Regular / EN / 720 CCA"

The Technician knew about a problem with the quality of a batch of the FIAMM EFB Batteries, but knew nothing about a "charging" (logic-software) issue.

He said the new OEM battery should last at least 5 years.

Does anyone already had a failure with this new OEM battery?

Does anyone know of a software update that solves this behavior?, duncho made a wonderful job with the schematics and resistors, but maybe after a future software update from nissan, this solution would no longer be valid.

I have a new battery now for over 3 years, everything ok so far but a bad feeling of letting me down again is still present.

3 years fits the common battery warranty period, so you are on your own from now. The bad part when replacing a battery is the stupid reset requirement of the Battery Management System ...only by Nissan/RAC it seems.

I know, so I turn off start/stop function every time, less stress to the battery will hopefully prolong the battery life.

I tried out your mod, but the car drop a start/stop fail message after a minute. What could be the problem?
The charge works well with the modification.
