For almost a year now, I am having this System Fault issue which comes up as a Warning with yellow triangle once I start driving for couple of miles. It is irritating as you can see on the photo just under the time display, the blind spot indicator is in Yellow color which might be the root cause?

The only way to get rid of it is by manually switching-off the Blind-spot from the settings. I took to my local WW Nissan garage but they couldn't able to diagnose this!! Any of you experienced similar issue? Please advise as my next servicing is due this month and I want to get this sorted!

Thanks

Hi

Don't think I am going to be of much help, but my blind spot indicator on the dash displays in white as the other two indicators do in your photo. As your blind spot indicator is showing yellow, it would certainly seem to me that it is this that is causing your warning to display. You would think that a Nissan technician would know!?

Does your blind spot system seem to work okay when out on the road, i.e blink when something enters your blind spot, and "bleep" if you indicate when something is in your blind spot?

Hope you can get it sorted.

I had exactly the same issue and dealer found out that rear camera needed recalibration.

I've recently had the same issue. I took the car back to Nissan for some recalls and mentioned this at the time, they said they cleared the old fault codes and said to see if it comes back. So far it hasn't but every now and then the icon will flash on and off for a few mins and then go back to normal.

When I asked the tech at Nissan what he thought the problem could be, he literally shrugged his shoulders

I had the same fault, my dealer booked the car in so they could find out what was wrong. Diagnostic check print out revealed some errors but they said they had found a piece of paper (road litter) that was blocking one of the sensors - it was only visible from beneath the car. If this was the fault I was surprised the fault lights didn't show all the time instead of randomly. Only been a few days, we'll see how it goes. On the plus side, they upgraded my SatNav SD card for free as they "had a lot in stock".

I'm still having this issue. My QQ was in having the timing chain tensioner replaced and I mentioned the blind spot system failure had kept coming back. They scanned the car and said there was no fault codes. I've now got to wait until the warning light comes on again and drive it straight down there.

Like sunny2000 above, I took a photo on my mobile phone when the system fault light came on so they could see what the likely problem was - suggest you do the same!

I did initially take a photo of the warning light and showed it to them the first time but they said they couldn't do anything unless the light was actually on, was really frustrating.

The light came on again recently and I took it straight down to the dealer with the engine still running so the light would stay on, they scanned it while it was running and while it was scanning I suggested that I had read it may need re-calibrating, the tech said it was probably a dirty camera, so he cleaned it and then the scan came back that it needed re-calibrating.

I've just dropped it off at Nissan for this to be done, they said if that doesn't solve it, it will need a new camera.

I think this is the fifth time I've been to Nissan since I've owned the car.
