Hi Guys
I'm new to forum so think I've posted in correct area. I have a small question I Have connected to the Nissan Connect with my apps and all works fine however when my son tries to use Facebook in the car it only shows check in and nothing else.
To get news feeds and other options do you have to pair or something with your account. I have gone on to Nissan +you but doesn't give much info to help.
Thanks in advance
Jamie

New here with a new Qashqai and curious - is the NIssan Connect system quite literally the worst touchscreen infotainment system out there? It's just so out of date already and I've bought a brand new car. Kinda sucks but the car is great . Might have to install 3rd party or something

Nissan promised to develop when J11 model launched in 2014; however, they never came up with goods.

To be honest, all the apps are usless. Google works ok, but you may as well use your phone through voice control. Even the ECO score does not hold a detailed history. The rest of the unit is fine.
The head unit itself is a pile of rubbish. Driving back from a long weekend away today, 30 minutes into the journey it decides to stop playing from the USB drive in the centre console, and refused to play any audio from any other input I had to hand - phone via bluetooth, DAB etc. Stopped at the first available opportunity (not easy when you're in a queue of traffic on A roads), turned off, opened the door, closed it and started again and all was OK
If Nissan can't get an audio head unit to work correctly, how do they expect us to trust any collision avoidance etc. systems they come up with?

The head unit works faultlessly, DAB, CD, YSB playing and SatNav are excellent

Touch wood. Mine works well. Bluetooth connectivity to play Spotify is great. Have a USB hard drive attached which plays MP3 tracks. Reads HD a tad slow but that may be to do with the hard drive. The app is only good in so far as allowing you to search for destination via Google within the car or using Trip Advisor. The sat nav we all know it's out of date but still useable as long as common sense and your nose are followed. Hoping the sat nav is updated at next service as per other posts on the forum. Aside from this the unit performs well enough on mine. Responds to touch excellently
