cant fnd the post i read yesterday re powered tailgate. i have questions - has anyone on here installed one? 2. its not clear to me at least whether the car can be left locked and only the tailgate is opened. 3. is the tailgate isolated when on the move - i don't fancy opening it by accident when on the move ! money wise it seems not bad & a great poential fathers day present to myself

I'll install mine in a few weeks time. Before that no answers from me.

That's probably because it was on qashqaiclub.co.uk, and not here.

I have one on a a Kadjar, and the electrics are similar (read same).

The control unit is connected to the vehicle can bus which monitors the state of the vehicle.

The dash button only works when the vehicle is stationary or the drivers door is open.

The tailgate control interfaces to the OE push button on the tailgate. So it only works as OE, on mine I can open it via the remote.

thought i'd just goo for it and order the kit - got to the pay page and a further $68 had been added for carriage -- making it $468 - IS THIS CORRECT being a tight meanfisted yorkshire lad had hoped club discount or special price might have applied?????

well gone and done it - ordered the kit last night so waiting eagerly now

..and don't forget to add on charges you'll have such as VAT/ Import duties/ carrier admin costs for clearing customs!
