OK - first of all let me state the kit of parts is well made, well packaged the cables/looms are well made with oem plugs/sockets. then I have to temper this by saying me personally, cannot currently recomend it.. why?? basically after i'd installed the mechanical parts which with an obvious translation from chinese to english was going to cause issues i figured it all out - but the tailgate only lifts to 44 inches istead of the 79 inches on manual struts... a huge headache waiting to occur. haven't figured out where all the plugs go and no doubt will be bouncing e mails to the supplier for a while. I will reword the instructions for them and offer a tip that buyers obtain plastic trim removal tools but it was all very easy to dismantle. having got the bad news out of the way che1 has confirmed they know of this problem and engineering a solution - no help at present to me but willing to stay with it - below is a copy of the mails to from them
sunday mail to che1
Ok = not had chance to recheck wiring but I did look at the struts – they are the same length as the originals so it has to be, in my mind’ an attachment issue – if a strut is fitted to the body using the original ball ended bolt the other end won’t fit (but your bracket can be left in place) as the socket on the end is slightly out of alignment and as your struts are motorised the piston/ram obviously will not rotate as it does on the manual hydraulic originals – whether you’d be able to solve this during assembly by rotating the driven shaft when inserting into the housing slightly I don’t know but are my thoughts.
However as it stands \I have had to remove the struts for safety to prevent me hitting my head but will persevere with the electrics so it will work when you have engineered the solution
Thank you
richard

Dear Richard,
Thanks for getting back to us. Please check our replies.
1. It is a fact that this kit cannot match the original height due to the original gate space limit (our poles are bigger in diameter and less stroke due to electric motors inside), we’re working on a new platform which may resolve the issue in future. You can return to us for replacement if you want when this new platform is succeed.
2. The OBD adapter cable is for retrieving remote control signal, there is a small connector need to be connected to CAN bus decoder
3. One cable is for kit power, another cable is for latch motor power (which is supposed to replace the original latch base)
Feel free to let us know if you have other concerns.

Subject: tailgate lift - 2016 nissan qashqai - installation support required
Hello – I ordered the lit last weekend and it arrived within 2 days – excellent
I made a start installing it today and accepting some of the instructions having been translated into English would need some amendment I have managed to fit the mechanics and laid the main feed cable from tailgate to passenger compartment the issues I am having
1. The tailgate struts are not letting the tailgate go as high as it does on the manual strutsc’poles’ – is this a height adjustable when it is eeventually powered on?
2. There are so many wiring looms that it is not clear what plugs into what for example – there is a obd loom that fits into the existing obd port but where does the other end go as it seems to be an extension cable for the obd port..
3. There are 2 long cables 1 for the power from dashboard to tailgate what is the other for??
