Just back from my first holiday trip with my QQ to Sligo in the Republic Of Ireland and was hoping to rely on Connect but it let me down every time. It does not give you the option to input Irish postcodes and failed to recognise a lot of towns around Sligo so it was useless. So frustrating. Would it be worth updating the maps or is it the same limitation? Can anyone please advise? Much appreciated. Thanks.

I found it's a waste of time trying to use post codes in Ireland

Has the newer version of the maps corrected this flaw?

Generally people in Ireland do not use postcodes, I was in Ireland recently in Wexford And Laois I told my cousin how we navigated from postcode to postcode she thought it was a good idea. She asked how it would work with her house as it has no street or road name and the house has no number. When I send her an Xmas card I just put her name and the nearest village :).

Delivery of the card relies on the postman knowing her.

I think google earth might work with Irish postcodes
