Hello,

I have a CD stuck in the multichanger unit on a QashQai 2009, dci diesel.

If I remove the radio from the car, will I be able to access the CD's quite easily to remove the offending disc? My wife says she put one in that had a chip taken out of it.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Graeme

Is there a tiny hole next to the disc slot? Often CD players have them, and you can use a straightened paper clip to poke in there and operate an eject mechanism.

Sorry for my lack of reply. No, there is no hole like that. It seems quite enclosed within its unit. Ive not been able to take the CD player out of the car.

I'm afraid I don't have anything in the service manual about removing a multichanger - just the standard player in the dash. There are a number of videos on YouTube about getting a stuck CD out of a unit, but they are of course all risky!

I've tried most of them, but they wont work because its a multichanger.

Back to square one, I guess.

Radio removal: you may not have to strip it down as much as it says after removing the facia panel. I believe it's easiest
to pop it out from the bottom up.

Perhaps when the changer unit is out, you'll be able to remove the unit lid and access its internals...
